Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson was born in New York City. His father, Karsten Johansson, is a Danish-born architect, and paternal grandfather, Ejner Johansson, screenwriter and director (Scarlett Johansson held Danish citizenship). Her mother, Melanie Sloan, the producer, came from Ashkenazi Jewish family from the Bronx. Johansson's parents met in Denmark, where his mother lived with Johansson's maternal grandmother, Dorothy, a former bookkeeper and teacher.
